Supernova is named after a phenomenon that marks a moment rather than a cycle. In watchmaking, progress is often expressed through lineage and incremental refinement.
Supernova takes a different approach: each creation exists fully on its own, in its own right. Supernova does not operate through collections, but within a framework that allows distinct creations to emerge — each complete in itself, each defined by its internal logic. This makes each creation independent, free from having to conform to a shared theme or technology plan.
Future creations will ask different questions and explore different possibilities. What unites our work is not subject or function, but approach: clarity over noise, purpose over proliferation, and restraint over spectacle.
SN 2140 is the first creation to emerge from the Supernova framework. It brings together a Swiss mechanical movement for timekeeping and subtly integrated Lightning capability for instantaneous Bitcoin payments. The two functions coexist without hierarchy or visual emphasis, forming a coherent object rather than a hybrid device. ‘2140’ references the year when the last Bitcoin will be mined. SN 2140 does not compete with digital devices or follow a pattern of constant updates, feature accumulation, and interface-driven interaction. It is not conceived as a template or a manifesto. It is a singular event — a complete creation, designed to stand on its own terms.
