Supernova enables seamless contactless payments using the Bitcoin Lightning Network.

Your SN 2140 and Supernova card function like a traditional contactless card while operating on a decentralised payment infrastructure. Transactions are processed instantly, without reliance on intermediaries or traditional banking rails.

Payments are made directly from your Lightning balance — fast, final, borderless, and private.

Supernova Web Application

The Supernova web application allows you to manage your payment experience with precision.

Simply scan the QR code on your Supernova card to access your interface and:

  • Check your balance and transactions in real time

  • Access a worldwide map of supported merchants

  • Retrieve your Lightning and Bitcoin on-chain top-up addresses

  • Manage security settings: PIN code, two-factor confirmation, card activation — unique from our payment partner implementation 

The application is designed to remain minimal, secure, and independent from traditional financial infrastructure.

Getting Started

Your SN 2140 and Supernova card are delivered ready to use, sharing the same payment address. No account setup or banking relationship is required.

Each card is preloaded with a Bitcoin balance, allowing you to begin using Lightning payments immediately.

Adding Additional Funds

Topping up your card is simple, even if you are new to Bitcoin:

  • Access your unique Lightning or Bitcoin address via the Supernova web application
  • Transfer funds from any Lightning wallet, Bitcoin wallet, or service
  • You may also send funds directly from fiat currency using providers that convert and transfer Bitcoin to your card address

 

Card balance is limited to the equivalent of CHF 1,000.
Any amount sent above this limit will be automatically returned.

A New Way to Pay Built for privacy, speed, and simplicity.

Payment Infrastructure

Payments are processed through Swiss Bitcoin Pay, a FINMA (Swiss Banking Supervisor) registered payment service provider.

Supernova does not provide custody or financial services. The system operates as a technological interface enabling access to the Bitcoin Lightning Network.

The Supernova payment card is based on advanced NFC technology developed by Swiss Bitcoin Pay:

  • Secure NFC chip (tap-to-pay) with unique Two Factor confirmations
  • Single Lightning address per SN 2140 and Supernova card pair
  • No account creation
  • No personal data stored
  • No payment fees for transactions
